If you don’t give a child food, they’ll appear emaciated, and gaunt. If you are strict on a child only to the room and do not allow them to go out and play, they’ll look pale, starved of fresh air, and appear lifeless. However, one could hardly tell if a child was never fed with music or given music, art or stories in their lives. It will be very difficult if not impossible to tell from just looking. However, imagine the first time you heard an actual piano being played or when you first heard a poem being read or when you
first set sight on a painting. I can bet you that the detail of how every object in that hotel lobby was arrayed, around the Steinway Grand has since never left you. The same could be said for the poet’s style and demeanour or the warmth of the gallery lamps that exposed the work of art on the canvass.Why they followed you home is because you felt it was something worth having and you must possess now. If it wasn’t so important, you would have forgotten.
In today’s rapidly evolving educational landscape, there is an increasing recognition of the profound impact of music on child development. Recognizing this significance, we propose the establishment of a music school dedicated to harnessing the power of music as a catalyst for holistic child development.
Music possesses exciting structures and systems which can serve as a scaffolding for providing balance for the navigation along the street of one’s journey in life. For example, through harmony, vocal and instrumental sounds lend themselves to be organized or if you will, disorganized in such a way as to beautify one’s expression of life, and not to even mention the ideals of excellence it lays in a child as a drive towards the pinnacle of self-actualisation.
Our Music school provides a comprehensive educational experience that not only cultivates musical skills but also nurtures the overall well-being and potential of each child. By offering a diverse range of music programs tailored to different age groups and developmental stages. We create an enriching environment where children can thrive intellectually, emotionally, socially, and physically.
Blackwood Music Club
The Blackwood Music Club is a fun entertaining Music Club for Kid in Dzorwulu. In which an array of instruments are introduced to them, Rehearsal sessions are in groups to acquire Knowledge in harmonizing (see the first 6 months Curriculum). Live Recording in Studio takes place at the end. You also have the opportunity to have voice training skills.
We also offer individualized music lessons with various instruments (see Timetable).

Blackwood Music also sets up Music Clubs at Schools, to train Orchestra, Bands & Choirs. We have a vibrant Curriculum, inspired by the Cambridge and Montessori Curriculum for Music as a Academic Subject and or Extra Curricular.

Team Lead: DK Osei (Head of Music)
Mr Dk Osei (Music School Coordinator), Having been in the music business for more than a decade, he brings to the teaman amplitude of knowledge. Both in private tuition and in public tuition at various schools. He is in a habit of putting together academic Music Curriculum that enriches the students life’s both intellectually, emotionally, socially, and physically.
He holds a Bachelor in Psychology, which helps him to understand the Thought Processes and Personality of Learners. In addition he has Training in Music Therapy.
